What if I won't be upgrading for another year or more. Should I go quad then or stay e7200?

If you plan to upgrade in a year, just get the quad now.

Nah don't get a Quad now... stick with like a low-end e2100 series CPU, and then get a Nehalem CPU next year, its supposed to be really good with High Multipliers (but its on a whole new socket)

If i did that could I still play games like COD4, Crysis, and some of the newer games coming out?

Also, if I buy a quad now will it last me for awhile or will it be non-compatible in like 8 months. Or, if i buy an e7200 now will it last me for awhile.. I guess I am asking what the best investment for the long run would be ?

A e2180 would run those games fine.(especially if you overclock it)

suck, Tigerdirect doesnt carry any of the e2100 series.. but I found an e4600 but it cost like 130.. and if i wanted an an e7200 it only cost 145...

I think I will go with an e7200...

Ya.. they overpriced the e4600, so the e7200 is fine
