i think mobo's with scsi are very expensive, better buy a PCI card for 20$

EIDE is ATA . . .

SCSI is the hds they use in servers - can go upto 15,000 RPM!!!

ahh ok, i was thinking the eide was ata.

eide is ata and scsi drives spin up to 15000 rpm and have transfer speeds of either 160 or ultra scsi is 320 both faster than sata at the current moment.

so i'm guessing that they cost a pretty penny then.

well, a Hitachi/IBM SCSI320 36 GB 15000RPM costs about $175

plus the controller card, of course
