Are you having any problems with the NB heatsink and the TRUE? it seems to me like those wouldn't fit together unless the TRUE was oriented differently. I was looking to get that board and a S1283 but if it doesn't fit, i'd get the other DFI X38 without the huge heatsink.

If you look closely at the pics of the northbridge cooler and my true, they fit, but theres no room for a fan on the NB cooler.

And as far as killing mobos, i've only killed 2, and the 680i doesnt really count as they had about a 75% failure rate I think this board was just bad.
