the psu i was gonna get went up(corsair 650tx) and it ruined my budget

can anyone give some suggestions for good psu around 100 or less that will power 2 4850s
on a dfi X38

i hard drive 1 dvdr lots of fans

ps is the nzxt tempest really better cooling than the antec 900?

go with the Xigmatek 650w...it's the same thing as the Corsair except modular

yes i put that supply in a friends X38 crossfire HD4850 Q6600 with one optical and one HDD rig.

Total a Q6600 and two HD4850's overclocked only draw around 32A off the 12v. Add the other stuff and maybe 40 at the very most. The Xigmatek has 52A on the 12's so this leaves plenty of headroom.

this is why you should ALWAYS do a little shopping around... you'd see the buy.com is always cheaper than egg with Corsair PSU's... even when last time when egg had promo code for additional 10 bucks off
