Ok I've been working on this build for past week or so and I think I am ready to order. Just want to make sure everything looks ok. Looking to moderately overclock and play games like CoD4, AoC, Crysis, and Fallout 3. My budget was $900~ but I ended up spending $1170~ shipped haha. Only thing I'm not totally positive on is the PSU and the memory. Suggestions/advice please!

I'm not sure about the OS. I want Vista Ultimate but don't need to spend anymore cash.... Thinking about using the 2008 Server 240 day trail until I can get it. Think Server will be ok?

only thing i reccomend changing is that cpu cooler.
get a xigmatek rifle. other than that it looks good.
motherboard is cool but you could get a dfi x38 or x48. that's if you want though. they overclock really well. will you be overclocking? of course their more expensive but the price is worth it.

Indeed it is... But if you're not going to overclock past 3.0ghz on the Q6600 you really don't need it...

the AF7 can handle the Q6600 from 2.4ghz Stock to 3.0ghz and still keep decent temps

I would still get the Xigmatek incase you want to push the chip higher. Plus its only $5 more.

I thought the AF7 was still $19?

I guess they price jumped it again.. ya get the Xigmatek Rifle
