Ok I need a new monitor for my new build. Ordering a HD4850 for gaming so I want a monitor that will be nice as well. Was looking for a 22" but would settle for a 20". Was looking at these two.

LG L206WTY-BF Black 20" 2ms Widescreen LCD Monitor W/ f-Engine 300 cd/m2 3000:1 - Retail
Newegg.com - LG L206WTY-BF Black 20" 2ms Widescreen LCD Monitor W/ f-Engine 300 cd/m2 3000:1 - LCD Monitors

Acer AL2216Wbd Black 22" 5ms Widescreen LCD Monitor with HDCP support 300 cd/m2 700:1 - Retail
Newegg.com - Acer AL2216Wbd Black 22" 5ms Widescreen LCD Monitor with HDCP support 300 cd/m2 700:1 - LCD Monitors

Main differene is see is the LG is 2ms and Acer is 5ms response. I would like the 22" but not if I will experience ghosting. Any advice/suggestions? Thanks.

The larger the moniter the better, course that depends on your current video card.

Go with the 22' unless you want to invest in a 24'...

I would love a 24".... but unless I could get one near my budget of $220(total after MIR) I have to stay with 22". So the above Acer will be a good gaming monitor?

When gaming you have to consider two main things..

Your screen size and whether your Video Card is appropriate enough to handle the Monitor's resolution.. which I learned the hard way I might add..

Now.. 24'' run at 1920x1200.. We'd usually recommend Crossfire or SLI with that... but you have a HD 4850... I wouldn't worry too much about gaming at that resolution unless you crave Crysis on Ultra High..

22'' @ 1680x1050 is a good place for your HD 4850, you could go all out with that since its resolution is pretty low, Ricanflow runs COD4 on his 8800gt 256mb at Max with 2x AA and still gets a consistent good frame rate

So that or 1440x900 is a sweet spot for your gaming..

Go with the 22'', 2ms is nice but you won't get any ghosting with a 5ms
