Well if its DDR2 that is... DDR3 won't work on DDR2 boards.. unless its a combo board... ermm like... I can't think one.. lol

But those boards are usually glitchy

so even though the mobo says standard mem is 800 i could get 1200 and use?

They'll probably charge double the price of DDR2 800 and with a good pair you can easily overclock that manually

f your board only supports 800 then anything higher then that is waste as the board will down clock it to what it supports.
