Whats better, AC '97? or High Def Audio?

It looks like I got two options and not sure which one to go with. Any suggestions?

Also, while installing the F_Panel, Front panel header.

How do you know which was the pins go? they fit both ways.

So should the letters in the pins head up or down?

i just pluged in hd audio. from what i know ac97 is very old.

Um....it's kinda obvious.
AC '97 = Audio Codec 1997.
HD Audio = High Definition Audio.

Most motherboards now use HD Audio, well because it's newer.
