DVD/CD drive spinning up full speed while logging in??

*hi-fives carnage* :) yep, they're a pretty good time saver.
Also works well when the disk starts getting scratched up a bit.
 
They're also a good way to prevent the disc from getting scratched up in the first place :D. THe disc gets to remain safely stored away while you can still play your game.
 
Yes but technically NoCD patches are against the TOS of many games which is why they should not be discussed in the forums. Hence why i have eluded to acknowledge their presence.

Will have to see what the other mods think before we take action. :p
 
I thought they were legal... I was always told they were, anyway lol. As long as you legally bought the game, I had heard that it was perfectly fine to use a NoCD patch, henec why I offer them openly; Trotter hasn't used his ban hammer on me yet for it :p.
 
Well they can also be used to bypass the copyright protection on CD's to play pirated games. So it is a toss up.

I've always been sure to include that little bit in my posts about 'em though, also ;). That they're only legal if you legally bought the game :D.
