Dude, it's just that stupid auto-reset feature built into gigabyte boards. It often resets them for no apparent reason. Mine used to do that to me all the time...only when my external hard drive was plugged in though. I got rid of that board, and am much happier with my DFI board.

I have a small workaround that I use when the bios resets. I have a similar gigabyte mobo GA-P35-DS3R. The bios is probably not the same but something you can try.

When you're done entering / adjusting all the bios settings, before you hit the f10 to save and exit, hit f11 to save the settings as a profile, then you f10. If and when the bios resets, go into the bios and hit f12 to select and load your saved profile. This way you don't have to keep entering the same numbers over and over again.
