The problem with the q9300 is that it has a 7.5 multiplier....meaning you will have a tough time getting over 3.5ghz

i'll be overclocking so I think I'll go with the Q6700.

Does that board look good? I'm not planning on SLIing for a long time so it doesn't matter that it doesn't have SLI. Think it's better than the 680i, or 750i?

I'm also looking at Newegg.com - GIGABYTE GA-EP35-DS3R LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Dynamic Energy Saver Ultra Durable II Intel Motherboard - Intel Motherboards
which has the same chipset as the board above. This board was actually recommended by NosBooster. Has anyone used this board, or have anything good to say about it? I'll be OCing a Q6700 on it and running 2 gigs of 1066 memory.

the DS3R is a good board i've seen people get a Q6600 to 3.6ghz on it with ease

i've also got one sat here that i'm not used yet but i'm getting either Q6600 or a Q6700 either of these 2 will overclock nice in this, i've also heard that you can hit 3.0 ghz on a Q6600 and 3.2GHZ on a Q6700 on stock volts which for day to day use is great
