Ok, so I just bought all brand new parts to build a new PC. I put everything together and when I go to boot the computer up to do the CMOS settings, the computer comes on for a split-second then it goes off. You can see all the lights from the fans come on too, then it just dies down. I have already tried checking my jumpers and all my power connectors.

Here are some of my parts:

-800 watt PSU
-Intel Core 2 Q6700
-500Gb SATA HDD
-4 Gb of RAM
-NVidia GeForce 8500
-MSI P6N Diamond Motherboard
-Apevia Black X-Plorer Mid Tower Atx Case

Please help me out with some suggestions of what to check.

Are you sure the CPU is in there right and firm? Are you sure you have the heat sink on with enough thermal paste? Are you sure the RAM is right for the mother board and seated correctly?
