Go to the device manager, then your hard drive, then properties....then turn on write caching.
Also, sometimes there's a jumper on the back of your drive limiting it to SATA I (1.5gbps), rather than SATA II (3.0gbps)....if there is you need to just remove it.
i have a problem there, since i only get the round box for "otimise for performance" but i dont get options for the advanced performance or write caching - does that mean theyre automatically enabled? do i need to turn on a different setting as well?
That burst speed is **** well high... the read is high too but not as much as a difference as the burst. The random access is a little slow though...with my 500gb 7200.11 i get 12.7...the scis drive i have get like 4.
