Sudden perforance decrease

Hi, ive been running my new rig all weekend and it was great, ran smooth as butter on almost any game i have. Then the power supply went down and i got it replaced, and since then my temp has shot up 10-12 degrees F, and my games are running choppy and bad in general.

could this decrease in performance be from this small change in temp?
And i so, what about a new power supply could have caused the change?

nvidia 8400gs 512
3 gigs ddr2 ram

*Did you plug in all the power cables.
*Did you get a cheap psu which creates lots of heat, thus making everything else hotter.
*Increase in 10-12 F, depends what your base temperature is, if it was really high, than that could make a difference.
*Maybe your new wires are blocking the air flow creating the extra temperature change.
