I am trying to figure out which type of HD enclosure will work with my old laptop hard drive. I believe the HD is ATA/100.

This is the HD:
Fujitsu Storage MHV2060AH Specifications - Hard Drive

Will this work with an enclosure that says it supports "IDE 2.5" "?

The specifics of the enclosure as listed on site:
"# Available for 2.5"HDD
# Compliant with USB2.0 & USB1.1 standard
# Plug-and-Play and hot swappable
# Transfer rate available for 480Mb/s, 12Mb/s
# Stable and shockproof
# Package includes CD-ROM driver, leather case, and USB cable
# Max supported: 120GB"

Thanks :)

Laptop hard drives are 2.5" while desktop hard drives are 3.5" in size. So any 2.5" enclosure should get the job done for you perfectly.

I have an Akasa Integral case and I like it a lot. Very nifty looking too.

cool, thanks. I wasn't sure if it made a difference whether the hard drive was SATA vs. IDE. I have seen some enclosures that say they are for IDE hard drives, for ATA hard drives, and for SATA hard drives. I also wasn't sure if IDE = ATA/100.

Yep, IDE = ATA.
