overclocking

hi guys, when i overclocked my CPU by 20mhz, my RAM went up to 880 from 800mhz, that normal? My processor is an e2180

and also i cant find 'speed stepping' in my BIOS, ive got a P35C-DS3R motherboard, any help would be appreciated.

It may have EIST in the label in your bios power management section most likely.

Yeah...when I overclocked my q6600 up to 2.8 Ghz...the RAM went from 800 to like 1000 automatically, is that normal?

yes it is. It'll add double of whatever you add to the fsb. ie: 5mhz on FSB will add 10mhz to ram. Disable both C1E and EIST

If you unlink them then it won't increase the RAM....
