I would download ad-aware,update it,run it for spyware and also run my virus scan, probably that first

I'm sorry sdpuck but you need to give a description of your computer and your operating system and why you think it ought to be faster

by cleaning out windows you will not gain much speed...you could disable some startup services though.

To really gain speed you need to upgrade your hardware. The cheapest thing is to overclock, or you could buy a new/fast HD
