ok so what if I go EVGA 8800GTS single card for now...

I can step up once the new cards come out correct? they just apply the previous purchase price to the new card right ?

maybe sli 9600gt's instead, but wait for new cards hopefully there will be a nice price drop.

its only $20 more per card for the 8800GT...im assuming its a much better card ?

Yep. And if you decide the new cards aren't worth it, 2 8800GTS 512mb in SLI is a very good combination.

hhhm tough decision... cuz a EVGA 8800GTS is about the same price as 2 9600GT

I'm not going any bigger than a 22'' monitor. and SLI 9600GT will probably play AoC on HIGHEST settings no problem correct ??? whats the point of one of the "new" cards then ??

The point is there may be cards that are released at the same price point as the current 9600GT's but could have the power of an 8800GT or better. Not saying it's for sure but it's happened more than once

ok after a few weeks of waiting and waiting...I'm finaly ready to pull the trigger. Here she is.

Any Better deals you guys see out there??

THE ONLY thing I'm a bit weary of is that the NEW video cards are coming out soon... Would I see better performance from a SINGLE one of the new cards over my SLI 8800GT's ?? (for around the same price) If so I might just pick up a single EVGA 8800GTS and step up later...

Get a Seagate 7200.10 or 7200.11

If your going to SLI get 2 9600GT or 8800GT if not get a 8800GTS or just wait for the new cards

everything else is fine except the IDE

1 point.... its called Crysis ;)

People are willing to pay huge money to max that game out and be able to play it smoothly...

But thats on XP with that DX 10 hax :)

Like on Vista people can't do it with a GTS g92, but since I've never played it I wouldn't know, I've never played it...
