hello, when windows update downloads new files in which folder does it store them? so i could burn them on a cd and i wont have to re download them every time i reformat ma computer.thanks alot
 
and if format my disk and insert them in my windows folder ill have the updates installed so no need to download them again?

Ok here is what you want to do:

Basically the easiest way to do this is you need 1 file. I'm not going to go through the steps to apply a patch to windows so when you install the cd the patches are done, but all you really need is Service Pack 2 network edition. SP2's network official edition was release last week and it works great. What you want to do is download this 400mb file (I hope you're on broadband :D) burn it to a cd and install it once windows is up. I would suggest just reformatting, install the servicepack, and ghost it. Game over oh and here's the link for SP2:
