Ok ive made this from newegg.com and looking for your guys suggestions and feedback. also my main question is what Intel p4 is the Barton AMD 2800+ equal too.

The 2800+ on the AMD spec says that it is equal or better than the Intel P4 running at 2.8 Ghz.
 
Looks similar to what I'm running. You may want to consider going for matched pair pc2700 ram (I'm buying from Corsair) but the actual boost in performance from this is debateable at this point. when I have mine up and running I can let you know if I see any huge jumps in framerates.

Also, the mhz rating really isn't everything. The athlonxp 3000 barton is running at a mere 2.183 ghz but with the 512k l2 cache...it's running almost neck and neck with the top of the line p4 3ghz on rdram with hyperthreading enabled.

I am going with AMD this time around mostly because of the cost of rdram. it's a little rediculous especially considering that intels next chipset will not be using it.
