Tv tuner lag

I have had a Hauppauge WinTV-PVR 150 MCE 274 PCI Interface Tuner Card for a long time, but whenever I try to use it with my 360 there is tons of lag like 1-3 seconds. I did some research and found that it was the mpeg-2 decoder. Does anyone know a fix for this in windows.

I also read that a lot of tv tuners have this same mpeg decoder lag problem, so i was wondering if anyone has a different tv tuner plugged up to their 360 and don't experience any lag

I have a wii connected to my ati tuner, I don't see any lag for mine.

my tv tuner also has a lag (about 2 second) i tried a bunch of stuff to get rid of it but gave up in the end. I haven't used it in a while but i heard using different programs works, unfortunately i do not know of any names.

Now that I think about it I might now why mine doesn't have a lag. I'm using a very old ati media center for mine, I think I once tried using the newer media centers and I started getting lags and went back to using older ones.
