Ok I am going to be getting a new video card soon (after new releases) either a Nvidia 8800GT 512MB or a radeon 3870 512MB.
here are the cards im looking at:
Newegg.com - ASUS EAH3870 TOP/G/HTDI/512M/A Radeon HD 3870 512MB 256-bit GDDR4 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards
Newegg.com - EVGA 512-P3-N808-AR GeForce 8800GT AKIMBO SuperClocked 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards
I don't know much about video cards but the radeon has 320 sream processing units and the Nvidia one has 112. Does this make a difference?
anyways which one would be better for gaming, i plan on either SLI or Crossfire in the future when the card becomes old and cant play games on high.
thanks
