Computer Wont Boot

Hey everyone, My sisters computer wont boot. I push the power button and then it beeps at me 6 times. My computer is a Dell dimension 3000 pentium 4 with a windows XP home edition. Any suggestions?

probably phoenix or ameritrends. which might be the same.

Well... This is my first time trying to figure out a computer by beeps. What I believe I get is 2 long beeps and there is a 2 sec pause and 4 short beeps. Any Ideas?
