Installing SP on XP copy

I'm using a copy of XP Pro wich I got from a friend.

Everytime I try to install ServicePack1 or ServicePack Express I get the message saying I have an illegal version of XP.

Does somebody know how to install servicepack on an illegal copy of XP?

You can't, i've tried - you'll have to buy it unfortunately

do you think all the other (small) updates i CAN download are all you get with SP1 or are there "extra's" in Servicepack?

there is a cd changer you can dl to change ur cd-key to a legal cd-key that you can get from *your* buisness

Theres a couple of cd key changers out there that you can use. This will give you a new cd key for the sp1 version. Best yet, its free! JUst google it.
