Athlon 64 RAM help

ok, decided to buy new RAM based on my last post. does anyone know if athlon 64's can take PC3700 RAM? if not i wil just buy PC 3200 or, if it doesnt take 3700, would it just run in 3200 mode cuz i an get 3700 cheaper than 3200. thanx

Like i stated in your previous thread:

if you plan to leave the FSB at 230mhz get PC3700 ram

PC3700 ram is rated to run at 233mhzX2=466mhz

Please post a link to the PC3700 ram you are looking at.

CAS latency is important in determining overall performance

CAS 2 is the best 2.5 is good and i would stay away from 3.0

All motherboards/processors will support PC3700 ram. But it will only be used to full potential (at 466mhz) if you bump your FSB from 200 to 230

i ordered a heat sink with it, and i got the "upgrade" for 7 dollars so its name brand i think. i will see when i get it, i will let ya know =D
