Ram Latency

My ram latency is supposed to be 2-3-3-6

but when i go to bios it reads 3-3-3-8

my question is does bios detect the most stable latency or should i change it to 2-3-3-6, or 2.5-3-3-6 ?

BIOS defaults are set to 3 3 3 8. You can change it to the specs of your sticks no problems. If it doesn't work, (don't see why though) you can revert back to defaults.

Depending on which Asus motherboard you have they can run unstable at lower latencies.

My Asus A7N8X-E-Deluxe only lets my memory run at 2.5-3-3-6 if the frequency is 195MHz. Hopefully Asus will release a new BIOS that corrects this issue.

nForce2 chipsets are renowned for being tight of CAS latencies.
