Thanx for all the help I havn't got around to trying anything though

One thing when i was partitioning my harddrive if I divided my harddrive into two partitions two approximate 20 GB It allowed me to format one of these partitions in FAT32 Does this help at all..........I could use it like this but I don't want my harddrive split.,..........thanx for everthing agian

OH, there is a limitation to the FAT FS for XP. You can only format a drive/partition that is smaller than 35GB into FAT.
I can't believe I remember about that...

Thanx Inaris that makes a world of sense now, so can't I just partition 35 gigs and Format in Fat32 and leave the rest of the 80 gigs as unpartitioned space......................I never use even close to 35 gigs so that should be plenty........

Thanx for the help......................

Yes, you can. Then once you get into the OS, you can partition it out at 35GB per partition on the remaining or use NTFS and do it all.
If you use a partition program like PartionMagic, you can format the whole drive in fat, but like I said earlier, I don't like Fat so I wouldn't recommend it.
