8800gt SLI over 9800gtx (G92)

Ok so maybe I should wait till early july to see how prices are with all the new hardware..

And I guess everyone's suggesting this evga 750i FTW board so I'll probably do that board with 8800gt's.. I'm really favoring the 112 Stream processors per card opposed to the 64 stream procs (I think with the 9600's.

Also if the prices drop dramatically I would option for the 8800gts g92 sli -- Hopefully $170-$180 range by end of summer might be wishful thinking?

-->Would the 750i FTW board be the best option still?
-> PC Power & Cooling 750w says 8800gtx sli and below so running this setup with a x3220 cpu I should be ok I think?

You wont need that much power supply unless you plan on going SLI with 9800GTXs or higher. I ran SLI 8800GTS512s with a corsair 520hx.

well it's like $119 with mail in rebate right now.. pretty good deal for that psu so I mine as well go for that.. 860w is like $250, 750w is $119... riiiight

definitely a good deal. The only bad thing about going overkill on power supplies is the price, but 119 for that PSU is a deal. good choice
