If I set my CPU voltage in my BIOS, can I assume that is actually it, because CPUz shows something a little different and it fluctuates, which it shouldn't.

Software readings will never be accurate, plus there is Vdroop.

So yes, you can assume the voltage you set in the CMOS to be the closet to what it really is..

It's your cpu power save or speedstep or whatever your motherboard calls it. Most likely your CPU gets the multiplier turned down when you are in low usage and CPU-Z notices this but your "my computer" wouldn't.

Look in your bios for something that says it puts it in power save or slows it down or whatever

Would it be considered a "bad move" to disable the speed stepping for your CPU? I'd prefer a consistent speed and voltage; or would it create problems?
