Hi,

can anyone suggest me a good video card online, i'm wanting to spend around $100-$200.

my system specs:
Intel processor III 866mhz (-_-)
896MB RAM
256MB nvidia geforce FX5200

i looked on the net and people say the FX5200 isn't a good card for games..so can you guys suggest me a gfx card good for games.

also, when it says "AGP 4x/8x", can my computer use it?
because i checked with CPU-Z, and it says

version: AGP version 3.0
Transfer RATE: 2x
max supported: 2x
side band: enabled

thanks.

Your current setup, being many years old now, wouldn't support a good graphics card :)
I'd recommend saving up and buying a whole new system. You can build a decent rig for around $500, which would be over 9000 times better than your current computer. Definately worth it, especially if you wanted a graphics card for gaming.

It's hardly worth sinking $100-200 into this machine. It's just too old and bottlenecked by a slow cpu and ram. Your PSU likely couldn't handle a higher end agp card. If you can expand your budget a little we can help you put together a new system to build or order that would be much better for gaming.

Hmm...ok then, can you guys help me buy a new computer ? im willing to spend under $500..
