Power Supply, Mobos and Cards

Good stuff, thanks guys. I've made a bunch of notes and i'll probably start implementing it all soon.

To bring this up just once more due to a few considerations a friend of mine mentioned. If you ignore the 200 max budget (since i'm pushing this back, i'll have more resources) is the 8800GT card still one to go for, perhaps with SLI, of is there a better card out there? It seems that, unless you go for really high end 9 series, most of the 9 series is outdone by the high-end 8 series. Should i just aim for the high-end 8 series, unless i can possibly get a really, really high end 9 series?

Also, since i'm not quite sure can you (and should you) place two SLI cards together if they aren't the same? For example, a 9600gt and a 8800gt?

Thanks

Quad-SLI is crap

go with a good Quad-Core, because its more future oriented

If you want a good Intel SLI board, check out the 750i FTW with either dual 8800gt's or 9600gt's

Intel does not make SLi boards...

Also the evga 750i FTW is kind of an awkward board, why?, because it winds up being $20 bucks less than a 780i and for what?
