But I'm going to start to OC. Won't I be in danger of damaging the CPU if I'm getting wrong readings. How do I know if the temp's are accurate or not?

If your temps are reasonably close to other Q6600 user's temps, I would say you are pretty safe.

If you want to be paranoid, use realtemp, coretemp and everest, average the tempartures out for a final reading.

Or you can just go buy a probe somewhere for the most accurate readings.

Well here's a screen shot. It's much warmer today than yesterday, so the temp's are a little higher than I posted yesterday. If you average them you get about 25C. The temp in the room is 22C. You guys think I'm getting good readings?

Temps look good, but why does core speed say 1600 and not 2400?

There are other implementations that play with the speed as well.

C1E and Eist should both be disabled.
