bzip????

I just recieved a file but its in a bzip format...
how do i extract or use this???

winrar should do the trick. BZip is generally an archive format used on Linux systems though, are you sure you have what you need (if the file is an application)?

I have tried using 7zip which usually does everything
its a video file
im not sure what format probably avi
its extension ion the end is bzip

BZip is used on Linux. It is a propritary format. Will have to find another version of the file to download.

The Universal Extractor should do the job.

Interesting find there Forrest. I will have to check it out. But sadly some of hte stuff they say can already be done by WinRar. Extracting executables and that can already be done. I have done it several times.

True, but if there is anything it can do that WinRAR can't, it's worth it to the people who need to perform those actions.

I fully agee. That is why i plan on testing it to find out.

That way i know to recommend this to people who can not get a file undone with WinRar liek this topic here.
