Shortly I would like to build a new PC.
Does somebody have any suggestions about the following pieces:

Mobo:?
CPU:?
Memory:?
Videocard:?
PSU:?

My budget: 650$

PS.: I'm not a gamer

Mobo: Asus A7N8X-Deluxe
CPU: AMD 2800+ 512kb L2 cache 333fsb
RAM: 512Mb Corsair (CL2)
Graphics: nVidia FX5700 Ultra

TheMajor, how in the hell did you get "My system specs" to move back and forth like that?

P.S.: Any video card ever will be more than enough considering you are not gaming.

CPU: AMD Athlon XP (very cheap)

GPU: ATi Radeon 9000 (64 Mb) - Under $90

RAM: Corsair ValueRAM (PC3200) 512 Mb

MOBO: Abit

Use html in you signature
EXAMPLE:

<marquee behavior="alternate" width="300">YOUR MOVING TEXT</marquee>

If you want the text to cross the screen without bouncing back junst delete "behavior="alternate"" ...

Good luck

Not a problem, TheMajor... Glad I was able to help! For the RAM, even the cheapest Corsair is very good. I'd recommend going with PC3200, however, if for budget reasons you decide to stick with PC2700, that wouldn't be a bad idea.

Goodluck - If you have anymore questions, just let me know!

P.S.: Thx for the HTML code!

Here's a system I came up with. All prices are from newegg:

Mobo: Asus A7V600-X...$61
CPU: AMD Athlon XP 3200+...$187
Memory: 1 GB Kingston ValueRAM PC3200...$167
Video Card: eVGA GeForce4 MX440...$39

That comes to a total of $454, which would still leave $196 for a case and power supply, or just a power supply if you already have a case.
