It is very simple, goto the manufactures page for your computer and look for the programs..

If they are not there, then you need to, as vern suggested, look for them using torrents.

Or you can order a program disk for your specific computer from the manufacture.

Here is the entry for System Restore at Wikipedia:
System Restore - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Microsoft website doesn't give much info on System Restore. By phone they will charge $59 for a description.

According to Wiki, it's supposed to restore the registry. Obviously it doesn't.

No. A System Restore restores a PC to the last saved state. Meaning that your last saved state was still AFTER you had done the Registry Mods. If you have any dates older than that one use that. As that should restore your system.

A System Restore is not a fix all for mistakes. It is just a tool. It has to be used correctly to fix a issue. Meaning that you have not created any restore points but the ones that were auto created by CCleaner which was still after the edits.

So sadly you are going to have to do what has been suggested several times. Get a list of the applicaitons you want and redownload them and reinstall the OS and those apps.
