One thing to keep in mind is that the 9800gtx will perform slightly better. But not rationally to the price difference. I would stay away from brand new stuff because of the rediculous prices.

it will perform slightly better because of the few extra mhz it has.....all you have to do is to grab a 8800GTS and clock it up 20 or 50mhz and voila you have a 9800GTX

So, would it be better to get Vista 64 bit or just stick with XP for now? I haven't been keeping up with vista because my previous computer would not run it very well. I heard Vista 64 bit had some problems with running games?

I'd say stick with xp for now.
