quad and 750i

So im getting a new processor and mobo. Im going to either get a q6600 or 6700. Is the 10x multi really worth the 80 more? Also, is the 750i FTW a good motherboard? i will be using my ballistix on this as well.

no it isn't really worth it to get the 6700, the 10x multi just doesn't increase ocing ability enough to justify the extra cost IMO. the 750i is good...its the same as the 780i but with only 2 pcie instead of three.

Its only worth it if your planing on overclocking it past the 3.6ghz point

how high would a normal oc be on a q6600 vs a q6700

Don't get the q6700 for the 10x Multiplier... its just not worth it right now for the $80 difference

but a q6600 + 750i FTW is a good combo (reuse your q6600 whats wrong with it?)

im selling it to my dad for 200. it only oc's to 3.3ghz and crashes once a month or so in heavy gaming. So im hoping a new one can get to 3.6.
And **** that was a fast response lol

Ehh I've had faster... but when are you buying the q6700? because if I remember correctly it took 3-4 weeks for the q6600 to become $266 last year, maybe the same applies now with the q6700...
