Vista extend partition?

I'm using Vista and I want to extend my partition back into the original one. I'm in Disk Management, but I can't get the extend to appear?

not really sure what you mean.... to get an extended partition you have to convert the drives to dynamic disk drives by rightclicking the drive in disk management then you can extend the drive over the other. Im not sure this is what you want to do though.

Yep... I want to extend it into the other but it doesn't allow me because the "extend" is shaded out.

Are you trying to merge partitions? I don't get the terminology "extend it into the other". You can extend a partition up to another one, using the remaining free space, but partitions can't overlap.

If you're trying to merge 2 partitions...just use Gparted; I believe it can do that if i remember right.

Move everything from old partition to existing one. Delete old one. Resize existing one.
