Burning stuff

Whenever I try to burn something to disc, whether it be music files or an ISO image, the disc automatically ejects and I get some sort of error telling me to put a disc in.

(And yes, I have tried putting a disc in after the message pops up as well)

What's going on?

Have you tried multiple disks that you're sure are blank? When you buy those big packs of 100 disks sometimes there are bad ones in there.

Yeah, I've tried at least five different discs.

have you checked to make sure your drive can write cds? not like check and see if it's a cd-rw drive, but in the drive properties.

Well, technically he hasn't specified that he's using cd's, but either way I'm guessing he has a cd and/or dvd burner, but it's broken.
If you have a dvdrw cdrw drive, try burning both cds and dvds, see if you get the error on both media types.
Get one of the same disks you tried to burn onto with your pc, and see if a different burner will accept them.
