What cause Disk Boot Failure?

No you do not load the driver from anywhere. So it has lost your boot. Did you try step 3 or 4?

Nothing showed up in the list, but it allowed me to proceed anyways to the repair. I did the start-up repair (step 2) and when it finished and rebooted I changed my boot priority to 1. Hard Disk 2. Cd-ROM. It skipped the Hard Disk and booted from CD ROM again so I assume it didn't work.

I will try step 3 now.

BTW, I appreciate the help.

Interesting. Doing it manually, it fails to recognize my C: or allow me to create a MBR. And like I said it doesn't show up in my recovery list. The automatic recovery details state no partition exists.

Yet when I go to load drivers, I can access the hard drive and all my files. I am completely lost here.

glad you got it figured out. Sometimes hardware just craps out for no good reason. Could have been just a factory defect.

btw , you do have good airflow for the drives right? Nothing covering up the underside of em? Cause that can cause drive failure too, if they overheat.
