power adapter for pci-express?

Would it effect my 8800gs if it was ran on two 4 pin molex connectors to make a 6 for pci-express. Cause I read a couple reviews on newegg saying its a bad idea. Any help would be the shiz

A dedicated plug straight from the psu would be better, yeah but it should work just fine.

hmmm, well I mean, in the future I will step up to like a 8800gt from my 8800gs so should I opt for a new power supply then, I would rather not, but if its going to mess up the card or hinder performance then I am stabbing myself in the back.

What power supply are you using?

the rep550, rosewill, the 550w version. I don't think it is the one with thte 6 pin pci-express molex connector, I will check again.

You'll be fine. Heck the card comes with a 4+4>6 adapter.
