i say 9800gtx, it outperforms the 3870x2 in most games, even tho its oen card not all games use 2 gpus.

I would mainly be playing with a 22"-24" or higher if i find a cheap one
i also might play on the sony full hd tvs which are like 40s"-50s"

Grab the ecs 8800gts 512mb on newegg for 160 after rebate.

Heck, grab 2 and do sli for 320 a.r.

You cannot beat that price. And yes I know its ecs and they're a horrible terrible mobo maker but they don't do more than slap a sticker on the gfx cards.
