Also, the price difference between the new E4700 and E4600 is not big

Vernong is right, the E2220 is x12. The E2200 is x11.

how high can those dual core pentiums overclock too?

They're known to overclock high, considering their stock clocks. I was able to take my E2140 from 1.6 to 3.2...Thats a 100% overclock. Not 100% stable though. 650i is struggling. Still have to fine tune it.

yeah mean theyre not really "pentiums"...theyre core duos, just clocked lower and sold and pentium dual-cores. The e2180 is a really nice chip, id say its the 5000+ from the intel side.

they overclock really nice, i haven't tried to max mine out yet, too lazy haha

i got shafted on my VID but with a xigmatek cooler on it i was able to hit 3.1 with little effort

still loved oc'ing my 4000+ x2, thing was a beast. ran at like 10C at 3.1ghz.
