I would like to now how to move files from my desktop to my new laptop? I currently don't have a network router for my DSL, so until I get one I would like to download the ulitilties on my desktop and then move them to my laptop, via Ethernet cable I also would like to move my music files to the laptop aswell

Or is there another way to move the files? How can I move them via USB? I know I can port them thru a simple USB pen, but I don't have one, nor can I afford one ATM

U could use a UB link-cable or a cross-linked UTP cable for your ethernet interface

If you have XP, you can try the files and setting s transfer wizard, using a crossover cable.

What do you mean by a crossover cable? Right now I have an Ethernet cable and somewhere around here I know I have a SUB cable Both have gigabyte ethernet built in aswell
