Hi,

I was wondering when a motherboard, Athlon64, with PCI-E, DDR1 and 2 and AGP supports will become available in the high-street computer stores? I have been looking around for such a motherboard like on eBay and large computer stores, even looked on USA sites to check if there was such a motherboard. Does anyone know if there is one OR when one will become available?

The reason i am asking this is because im getting tired of buying new motherboards when new technology is available, like PCI-E and DDR2. I want to be able to "Future Proof" myself for at least a good few years or so. I myself will not be buying PCI-E and DDR2 ram just yet because i am content with what i have now. Plus seeing this stuff has just come into stores the "beginnings" of these products will not be too great - IMO it's best to wait a good few months while they get into the swing of things and i am doing just that.

Any rumors, threads or the like would be great help. Thank you!

right now those are intel things . . .

dunno when amd will launch those . . .

actually, i'd like to know

computer stuff grow very fast.
normally 2-3 years
then come new design again
no 1 can get a pc that can run whole life
unless u always buy the new stuff
