The New World was never discovered, and now the inhabitants of these unknown lands are invading the Known World.

Maybe make a Dark Sun MMO.

A Ringworld MMo.

An inter-planetary MMO (not EVE), but without starships and such. Use something like Stargates or portals to travel from one to the other. Expansions would be new planets added to the game world.

Just like that trotter, there is some ideas that you could only entertain if such an such happened an such an such didn't happen, the rome one i am sure is inspired by a episode of star trek.

I read not that long ago a book called "Guns of the South" where the south won the American civil war, I would like to see a game based on that only set during WW2 (southern USA vs Free europe an Noth America) it wouldn't have to be a MMO but it could prove to be a very interesting game (plot wise).
