Price Question

Why is the e6850 cheaper than the e6600? they looks the same in the specs but on is just clocked higher? is the e6850 just an OC'ed version of the e6600?

The E6850 is still a VERY capable dual core processor and an overclocking champ! Pick that sucker up if you're in the market for a bargin dual core!

Yes I noticed they are quite similar with each other.

to my understanding the reason it is cheaper than the e6600 is because it was released much later then the earlier core 2 duo dual cores (e6600,e6420 etc.) . These are in the process of being phased out while the newer cost effective dual cores come in which are newer revisions and offer faster fsb speeds.

and also because some suckers think the e6600 is better and waste their money.
