9600xt scoring 1200??

i dunno about that, my 6800gs and 3500+ only did something like 3k...

and i'll be back in attempts to taking amd number 1 w/ my new 8800gtx which i should be getting soon

hopefully this one clocks much better than my old Foxconn one...

i think I remember scoring ~600 3DMarks in 06 with my 9600XT/P4 @ 1.6GHz, my system was really bogged down though, I was also running on regular PC100 RAM, so as Apok said, you'll maybe just hit 1000, although I'd say closer to about 900, update us man! I'm curious

Did you guys not see my score i posted? I got 1,609 with a regular 9600. But my cpu is better than his though.....he should still score close to what i did since the card is better.

9600 XT has 4 pipelines, 6800 GS has 12

i know that, imeant he should be getting lower than 1000.. lol

not really, the 1.6GHz P4s are Willamette's I think, coupled with the crummy SDRAM ram (PC133, lol) everything will suffer, the cpu actually bottlenecks the 9600XT, believe it or not

there are some Northwoods out there (aka mine)

and COD4 is amazing, I didn't know what I was missing

my FPS in that game usually range from 13fps to 53fps (on all lowest settings)

I didn't get to Act I yet though, because I had to start studying for Gateway Science Exam
