I am sure it is G0 it doesnt need to say. i think the B3 is discontinued.

huh, I didn't realize that. Ok, I guess I'll call them and ask. Or if someone could provide a link that proves b3 has been discontinued, that'd be great also.

even if it's discontinued i wouldn't be surprised if there were quite a few still sitting around. They don't just throw out discontinued chips. As far as I know newegg/ncix are still a gamble.

Here's NewEgg's response to my question, if the Q6600's are g0 stepping.

have a way to physically get our hands on an item and tell you what revision we currently have. We do not guarantee revision numbers unless it is specifically noted on the description on the website...

Based on that, I will probably end up purchasing my q6600 from ClubIt since they guarantee g0 step'n.

How long ago did b3 chips stop being produced?

no clue. i'd say its 9/10x gonna be a g0. i got my b3 4 or 5 months ago.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I'd get g0 too. But there's that small chance I'd get a b3, and then I'd be stuck with it for a couple of years until I upgrade or build a new PC. =S
