How can i tell how old my computer is...?

My old PC is Socket 754.

Okay, so there is no resale value in it. It would still work as a HTPC with a few extra parts in it. Some thing like that, if it still works, run it into the ground.

Better yet, if you are just going to throw it out, my not send it over to Joeyboy as it sounds like he could do with an improvement on what he currently has.

I know having a socket 754 is a bit of a dead end, however it's an improvement on what he currently has.

If you are still going to throw it out, can i have the CPU. I am still collecting CPUs for my desk, and Ma and Pa Harper are going to be in your part of town in 3 months time.

it needs a new video card and motherboard, this one's AGP slot is busted and no cards work right in it. I'm gonna keep it until I can back up it's HDs or just get it back up and running.

Couldn't you just use a PCI video card?

Buying a new mb and AGP video card hardly seems worth it.
